Dulux paint maker AkzoNobel slightly lowered its annual core profit guidance on Wednesday, citing market uncertainties and adjusting it for currency exchange rates as of the end of the third quarter.
The Dutch paints and coatings supplier now sees adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of around €1.48 billion ($1.73 billion) in 2025, having previously guided for a number above that level.
"Despite continued macro-economic softness and the translation effect of a strong euro, we’ve delivered on consensus," CEO Greg Poux-Guillaume said in a press release.
AkzoNobel reported a 2 per cent drop in its third-quarter adjusted EBITDA to €385 million, broadly in line with analysts' expectations in a consensus provided by the company.
