The SHIFT Transport Coalition has launched the Transport Analytics Hub (TAH), an open-access platform aimed at supporting evidence-based decision-making and accelerating the transformation of urban mobility systems. The platform uses geospatial analytics and interactive visualisation tools to help users understand mobility patterns, compare cities using mobility indicators and assess urban road networks through various geospatial metrics. According to the coalition, TAH enables users to examine the relationship between people, roads, and transport networks across cities. The launch also coincided with the release of WRI India’s working paper, “Assessing Urban Road Networks Using Geospatial Metrics.” Through TAH and its research, the coalition aims to make transport analytics more accessible to practitioners working towards more connected, efficient, inclusive and people-centred urban mobility.
