Commodore Sarvdeep Singh Dhody assumed command of INS Kalinga and took over as the Station Commander, Naval Station Bheemunipatnam, from Commodore Anirudha Roy during a formal change of command ceremony, according to a release here on Wednesday. Commissioned into the Indian Navy’s Electrical Branch on July 1, 1998, Commodore Dhody has held various operational, training, and technical appointments throughout his career. His service includes afloat assignments onboard INS Kirch and INS Brahmaputra, as well as tenures at the Naval Dockyards in Mumbai and Visakhapatnam. He has served as an instructor on four occasions, including roles as Training Captain at INS Valsura, Flotilla Captain at the Indian Naval Academy, and Directing Staff at CDM Secunderabad. In his new role, Commodore Dhody will manage the operational readiness, administration, and overall functioning of the establishment.
