The State government is striving to achieve the 95-95-99 targets, adopted by the Union government as part of its efforts to control HIV/AIDS, by December 2026, says Minister for Health, Medical and Family Welfare Satya Kumar Yadav.
Launching the two-month information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign, organised by the Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (AP SACS), in Vijayawada on Wednesday, August 12, Mr. Satya Kumar called upon the voluntary organisations to participate in the government’s efforts.
The State government achieved a progress of 88%, 87% and 96.2%, the Minister said, directing the officials concerned to identify the gaps in achieving the final targets and fix them.
Suraksha DashboardLater, the Minister unveiled the Suraksha Dashboard, where one could track the progress of HIV-control programmes and performance of all the districts.
The dashboard would help determine where gaps exist, where special attention was required, and in which areas interventions need to be accelerated.
