Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the government’s Indiramma Housing towers, comprising affordable flats, in the Hyderabad (CURE) region on Thursday.
Housing and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said 8,000 flats would be constructed within a year and handed over to beneficiaries by Bonalu next year.
Nearly 90 acres of government land have so far been identified for the housing towers.
In Kukatpally, four 10-storey towers will be constructed, each comprising 120 flats, with 12 flats on every floor.
Mr. Srinivas Reddy said the towers would be constructed on government land, with 20-25 square yards of land to be registered in the name of each beneficiary.
