Public-sector cattle feed manufacturer Kerala Feeds Limited (KFL) has stepped in to support dairy farmers severely impacted by floodwaters in the Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta districts by providing free cattle feed.
As part of the initial relief package, 150 sacks of high-quality ‘Kerala Feeds Elite’ cattle feed, worth an estimated ₹2,31,000, were sent to the affected regions.
Kerala Feeds managing director B. Sreekumar, who flagged off the supply vehicle on Wednesday (August 12, 2026), said that extending a helping hand during crises reflects the core social obligation of public-sector organisations.
To ensure uninterrupted supply during emergencies, Kerala Feeds has completed all necessary arrangements at its Karunagapally unit to despatch feed supplies on a priority basis to affected regions.
During the 2018 floods, Kerala Feeds had launched the ‘Snehasparsham’ campaign, supplying free feed and essential mineral mixtures worth crores to affected areas, while also collaborating with public-sector banks to facilitate subsidised feed and credit facilities for impacted farmers.
