Amaravati is set to gain direct connectivity with Vijayawada and Mangalagiri from Thursday (August 13, 2026) with the opening of two steel bridges and the second phase of the Seed Access Road, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana said. One of the steel bridges, measuring 110 metres, has been constructed across the Buckingham Canal. The other, measuring 280 metres, spans the Kondaveeti Vagu and Guntur Channel, strengthening connectivity to the capital region. The MLA and MLC housing project at Nelapadu in Amaravati covers 10.46 acres, with a built-up area of 10.84 lakh sq. Each tower will have a 50-kW rooftop solar power system and a 2,000-litre solar water-heating system.
