NIT-K lays foundation stone for healthcare centre annexe building

The National Institute of Technology-Karnataka (NIT-K), Surathkal, recently laid the foundation stone for a new annexe building for its healthcare centre on the campus.
The building is being funded by its alumni.
NIT-K Director B. Ravi laid the foundation stone during the institute’s 67th foundation day celebrations in the presence of IIT-Dharwad Director Venkappayya R. Desai, NIT-K Deputy Director Subhash C. Yaragal, deans, functionaries, faculty and staff members, and alumni, including members of the 1986 and 1972 batches along with other alumni donors.
The 1986 batch was the largest contributor at ₹1.01 crore, followed by the 1972 batch at ₹29 lakh.
The annexe building will be a ground-plus-one structure spanning approximately 3,100 sq.
