During a review meeting with Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd (HMRL) officials on Tuesday (11 August), Reddy directed the purchase of additional coaches for metro trains. He directed HMRL to begin the tendering process for metro construction on the 7.5 km MGBS-Chandrayangutta section under Phase-2. HMRL acquired 100 per cent of the shares of L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Ltd, bringing the metro operator fully under state ownership. He directed officials to ensure the event meets international standards and is used to attract fresh investment into the state. The chief minister also instructed departments to prepare a fresh strategy for increasing investment inflows.
