Hyderabad: Bihar Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha paid a courtesy call on Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao at the Secretariat on Wednesday. Rao explained to the Bihar Agriculture Minister the technology-driven initiatives being implemented by the Telangana government and the welfare programmes undertaken for farmers. He explained to the Bihar Minister the implementation of Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima and the Rs.500 bonus for fine-quality paddy. During 2025-26, oil palm was cultivated across 3.11 lakh acres, producing 74,000 metric tonnes of crude palm oil with an oil extraction ratio of 20.01 per cent. Sinha explained the agricultural policies being implemented in Bihar, including crop diversification, crop cluster development and the use of technology.
