Pick n Pay, which is believed to be in distant second place in the on-demand category, was the first retailer in South Africa to roll out smart AI assistance to all customers. Like Pick n Pay asap! Like with its smart basket feature, smart chat will roll out to Xtra Savings Plus subscribers over the next few weeks. Pick n Pay does not disclose its online or on-demand sales separately, whereas Woolworths reports only its total online sales.
