Maharashtra plans to redevelop 147 properties of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) in the first phase of a major infrastructure upgrade. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said the properties, including bus stands, will be developed through the public-private partnership (PPP) model. Shinde said 147 MSRTC properties, including bus stands, will be redeveloped in the first phase through the PPP model. Modern bus ports, offices, hospitals, cinemas and citizen service centres are among the facilities being considered. Maharashtra has studied modern bus ports in Ahmedabad and Vadodara, along with operational practices followed by Karnataka's KSRTC, while preparing its redevelopment plan.
