Three held over alleged cyber harassment, blackmail

Mobile phone was recovered from his possessionPHOTO: FILEThe National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested three men in separate opera-tions in Lahore, Multan and Dera Ghazi Khan for allegedly committing cyber harassment, blackmail, threats and misuse of personal data.
NCCIA spokesperson Azeem Jafri said a resident of Faisalabad, was arrested in Lahore in connection with a complaint regarding alleged online harassment and defamation.
The suspect had allegedly been using online platforms to harass and defame complainant Syed Muzaffar Iqbal Zehrazai.
In Multan, NCCIA officials arrested Jamshed Mahmood Khan from Gulgasht Gol Bagh Park.
Investigators al-leged that he had shared objectionable data belonging to a woman through WhatsApp and subsequently threatened and blackmailed her.
