Crude oil futures rise after reports of separate ship attacks in West Asia

Crude oil futures traded higher on Wednesday morning following reports of separate attacks on ships by the Houthis and the US forces in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and Strait of Hormuz, respectively.
At 10.01 am on Wednesday, October Brent oil futures were at $89.69, up by 0.88 per cent, and September crude oil futures on WTI (West Texas Intermediate) were at $83.99, up by 0.95 per cent.
August crude oil futures were trading at ₹8021 on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) during the initial hour of trading on Wednesday against the previous close of ₹7940, up by 1.02 per cent, and September futures were trading at ₹7911 against the previous close of ₹7844, up by 0.85 per cent.
August zinc futures were trading at ₹395.40 on MCX during the initial hour of trading on Wednesday against the previous close of ₹393.35, up by 0.52 per cent.
August guarseed futures were trading at ₹6092 on NCDEX in the initial hour of trading on Wednesday against the previous close of ₹6073, up by 0.31 per cent.
