The National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) sits on cash and investments of more than R11 billion yet paid out less than R14 million in warranty claims in the 2025 financial year.
Warranty claims amounted to just 0.12% of the NHBRC’s financial assets in 2025.
These controls, together with site inspections and compulsory rectification, should reduce the number and value of eventual warranty claims.
