Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre Director Manorama Mohanty said Odisha is likely to experience very heavy rainfall till August 13 and isolated heavy rainfall may also occur from August 14 to August 17. The weather office urged fishermen not to venture into the sea till August 15. The IMD forecast very heavy rainfall in Anugul and Keonjhar on Wednesday and heavy rainfall in 15 other districts. It also forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in Sundergarh and heavy downpour in 16 other districts across northern, central, and southern Odisha. Mohanty said light to moderate rainfall occurred in most places of Odisha in the last 24 hours, while heavy rainfall was recorded at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Sundergarh and Deogarh.
