Stella Maris College organised an anti-drug awareness walk and human chain along Cathedral Road on Tuesday, as part of a series of initiatives directed by the Directorate of Collegiate Education. About 350 students, accompanied by principal Sr. Stella Mary FMM, vice-principals, deans, NSS programme officers and faculty, participated in the event from the college to Semmozhi Poonga. The Anti-Drug Abuse Club in collaboration with the National Service Scheme, Youth Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club hosted it. Participants carried placards and distributed awareness pamphlets as well as raised slogans against drug abuse. Later, around 2,000 students and faculty gathered at the college’s Open Air Theatre and auditoriums to take a pledge against drug abuse.
