BENGALURU: Two persons working at an underpass construction site at the BDA Kanteerava Studio in Bengaluru city died after a portion of the earth at the construction site caved in, besides, 3 other labourers were injured. Haris, MLA representing Shantinagar Assembly seat in Bengaluru city, ordered an independent enquiry into the incident to find out the cause of the accident. BDA assured to provide Rs 8 lakh each to the bereaved families and bear the medical expenses of the injured persons treated at a hospital in Bengaluru city. Steps have been initiated by officials concerned to send mortal remains of the deceased persons to their native places. Officials are in coordination with the Labour department and District Administration to send the bodies of the deceased labourers.
