Karimnagar:The murder of a weaving worker took a political turn with BRS activists staging a protest in Sircilla on Tuesday.
It was established that weaving unit owner Kusuma Ganesh, with whom the deceased was working, had allegedly killed Venkatesham.
According to Sircilla DSP K. Nagendra Chary, Venkatesham, employed at a unit in BY Nagar, often absented himself without informing the owner.
Meanwhile, Venkatesham and his wife had accused municipal vice-chairman Darla Sandeep of demanding `1 lakh to sanction an Indiramma house.
Agaiah alleged that Congress leaders tried to link the murder to BRS and municipal members, and demanded the arrest of those behind Venkatesham’s killing.
