A witness in the hit-and-run case, relating to the death of journalist K.M. Sajir, an auto-rickshaw driver, who is also the 12th witness in the case, also identified the number plate produced before the court. The Vilappilsala native is also a mahazar witness in the case. He, however, testified that he could not say with certainty which vehicle the identified number plate belonged to. The mahazar witness also identified seven articles recovered from the car driven by IAS officer Sriram Venkitaraman, the accused in the case.
