Jamila Woods is celebrating the 10th anniversary of her debut album Heavn with a short Stateside tour. The jaunt starts in Los Angeles on November 16 and travels to cities including Portland and New York City before concluding with a hometown show in Chicago on December 6. “Ten years ago today the OG SoundCloud version of HEAVN was born. The one who showed me a new version of myself / a portal to who I could be,” Woods wrote on Instagram. The critically acclaimed Heavn saw Woods delving into police violence, Black femmehood, and self-love over soothing R&B.
