A 31-year-old man was hacked to death by an unidentified gang at Rangareddypalayam near Cuddalore on Monday. Police said the victim was with his friend Raja at the latter’s house in Periyakattupalayam, when a six-member gang hurled three country-made bombs on them one after another. While two of them exploded on an adjacent compound wall, the third bomb failed to explode. As Sasikumar and Raja tried to flee, the suspects chased Sasikumar and attacked him with machetes. He sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot.
