The Palamaner sub-division police on Tuesday (August 11, 2026) arrested five people for allegedly killing a man with a country-made weapon in Marapalli village, Peddapanjani mandal, on August 6. The accused allegedly attacked C.G. Ramalingam, allegedly plotted the killing and was assisted by Thoti Nagaraju, Rajasekhar alias Shekar, C.G. The accused tracked Srinivasulu’s movements before Ramalingam allegedly shot him in the chest. Police recovered the weapon and other articles and produced them in the District Court in Chittoor, which remanded the accused to the local sub-jail.
