Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud on Tuesday expressed concern over a significant decline in voter numbers in the Hyderabad region and called on party leaders and workers to closely monitor the voter list revision process. Speaking at an online meeting of leaders from the Zaheerabad, Medak, Malkajgiri and Secunderabad parliamentary constituencies, Mr. Goud said the scrutiny of anomalous votes had become crucial and cautioned against any negligence in the exercise. Mr. Goud stressed the need for the party organisation to keep a close watch on developments relating to electoral rolls in the Hyderabad area and ensure that irregularities, if any, are identified and addressed. Meanwhile, Mr. Sachin Sawant held one-to-one meetings with TPCC vice-presidents over the past two days. The Congress will also hold a face-to-face meeting of its general secretaries at Gandhi Bhavan from Wednesday.
