Revanth Joins Varuna Yagam For Rain In Telangana

Nalgonda: The Maha Varuna Yagam was performed on the banks of the Krishna River at Vijay Vihar in Nagarjuna Sagar of Nalgonda district on Monday, praying to Lord Varuna for abundant rains.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday participated in the purnahuti (final oblation) of the Maha Varuna Yagam at Nagarjuna Sagar, conducted to pray for rainfall across Telangana.
He said the Varuna Yagam was performed with a resolve that the people of Telangana should live in happiness, prosperity, and well-being.
The Yagam began at 4:05 a.m. Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, accompanied by his wife and Kodad MLA N. Padmavathi Reddy, participated in the rituals marking the commencement of the Varuna Yagam.
Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy, government advisers K. Keshava Rao and P. Sudarshan Reddy, former minister K. Jana Reddy, and other public representatives participated in the Varuna Yagam.
