The 4.19 million installations translate to roughly 54 per cent of the 7.77 million applications received across the country. In terms of applications, Maharashtra topped the list with 1,459,943, followed by Uttar Pradesh at 1,183,914 and Gujarat at 1,178,459, while Andhra Pradesh registered 912,788. Gujarat also led in installed capacity at 2,924.99 MW, ahead of Maharashtra's 2,608.12 MW and Uttar Pradesh's 2,456.15 MW. On subsidy, Gujarat drew Rs 57.11 billion, followed by Maharashtra at Rs 51.39 billion and Uttar Pradesh at Rs 48.43 billion. Nationwide, the scheme has clocked 7,765,047 applications, 4,194,051 installations and 14,894.95 MW of capacity as of 5 August 2026.
