Adilabad:The Manakondur MLA and TPCC’s SC-cell chairman Kavvampally Satyanarayana on Monday stressed the need for unity among the Dalits to protect their constitutional rights when “rulers always tend to divide (us) and rule.”
Satyanarayana said Dalits should raise their voice against the communal forces and atrocities being committed against Dalit women and to protect the Indian Constitution and the reservation rights.
He said it was chief minister Revanth Reddy who resolved the long-pending Mala and Madiga issue and came up with a permanent solution to the issue with categorization.
He recalled that former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao “cheated the Dalits” by ignoring a promise he made to make a Dalit the first chief minister of Telangana.
