Telangana Chief Minsiter A Revanth Reddy directs officials to expedite expanion works the Metro Rail works in the old city under the Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-2 project. In a review meeting on the Metro Rail expansion project here on Tuesday, he asked the officials to complete the road-widening works along the 7.5 km stretch from MGBS to Chandrayangutta as soon as possible and initiate the tender process for the Metro works on the corridor. He instructed officials to consult the Delhi Metro for assistance on the appropriate technology to be employed in the project. Appropriate measures should be taken to handle the passenger load including addition of extra coaches to the trains and directing officials to procure the necessary additional metro rail coaches, he added. Reddy salso directed the officials to submit a detailed report on the investments attracted and the progress made following the summit held last year, according to a release.
