Nellore: Around 2,000 students, youth and YSRC activists took part in a protest rally in Nellore on Monday, demanding a CBI probe into alleged irregularities in the Mega DSC recruitment and the resignation of minister N. Lokesh.
The rally, led by YSRC Nellore City in-charge and MLC Parvatareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy, began at VRC Centre and culminated at Gandhi Bomma Centre.
YSRC district president Kakani Govardhan Reddy, Nellore City coordinator Kondreddy Ranga Reddy, corporators and party leaders participated.
Chandrasekhar Reddy said the party was not demanding cancellation of the DSC or withdrawal of teacher appointments, but a transparent investigation into the alleged irregularities.
He warned that the issue would be raised again during the forthcoming Legislative Council sessions if the government failed to order a CBI probe.
