The girl’s mother, after learning about the pregnancy, approached the boy’s family and sought a resolution. The boy’s family allegedly demanded Rs.2 lakh as dowry, while the girl’s mother, who is the sole breadwinner of the family, agreed to pay Rs.50,000. Meanwhile, after several months, the pregnant girl reportedly became weak and was shifted to a Child Protection Centre. The situation reportedly took a turn after the boy’s family came to know about the girl’s condition. The girl’s mother is now seeking justice for her daughter and has appealed to the authorities to take appropriate action in the matter.
