Chennai: Former Union minister Dayanidhi Maran on Monday accused the Congress of shifting its stand from ‘fair delimitation’ to ‘no limitation’ and asked why the four State governments under its rule are remaining silent.
“Has the Congress party shifted from advocating ‘fair delimitation’ to demanding ‘no delimitation only in Tamil Nadu”, he asked and questioned the party’s position across the country.
If the Congress is against delimitation, why has it not convened similar meetings of MPs in the four States governed by the Congress,'' Mr Maran asked.
“A party that cannot articulate a clear and consistent position on delimitation has no moral authority to preach to Tamil Nadu.
The people of Tamil Nadu will not be taken in by the theatrics of ‘a reels-driven party’ that functions as the Congress party’s proxy government, he added.
