PARIS - Pakistan’s Ambassador to France Mumtaz Zahra Baloch was the guest of honour at the annual Ravivage de la Flamme (rekindling of the flame) ceremony at the tomb of the unknown soldier under the Arc de Triomphe, Paris.
On her arrival at the Arc de Triomphe, the Ambassador was warmly received by the representatives of the Royal British Legion – Paris branch.
She placed a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier and paid homage to the British and Commonwealth servicemen and women who died during the two World Wars.
The ceremony featured French military honours including guard contingent and ceremonial military band that played the national anthems of Pakistan and France.
It was attended by French military and civilian officials, representatives of the royal British legion, and diplomats, servicemen, and veterans of Great Britain and the Commonwealth.
