ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday extended his warm wishes and prayers for a swift and smooth recovery to his Malaysian counterpart Anwar Ibrahim as the latter undergoes medical procedures. The prime minister, in a post on his X timeline, expressed his solidarity, saying, “The people of Pakistan join me in praying for his continued good health and well-being. May Allah SWT bless him with a speedy return to his duties. Earlier, Malaysian state-run news agency Bernama reported that Anwar Ibrahim was currently undergoing medical examinations and procedures prescribed by a team of medical specialists. He is expected to remain under medical observation for two days.
