Tamil Nadu's Assembly passed anti-NEET resolution today, laying out its case against the national medical entrance test and demanding Delhi amend the relevant central laws to scrap it for UG medical admissions.
The resolution drew rare cross-party consensus, including DMK, AIADMK, the Left and PMK.
The state's lone BJP MLA staged a walkout as the only dissent in the House.
Moving the resolution, Health Minister K G Arunraj said that scrapping NEET will enable admission on basis of 12th class marks.
This is a developing story.
