Kollam: Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan on Tuesday alleged that news reporting in the state was becoming "unethical to the core". At the same time, he also said that there was a need to introspect on the direction being taken by news media in Kerala. The time to think on this is long overdue because it is heading in the direction of being unethical to the core. In the past, if wrong news was given by a publication, within 24 hours it would publish an apology or retraction". Satheesan further claimed that when there is nothing worth reporting, news is created and spread.
