Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police decided to implement one-way traffic system around KBR Park from August 18 in view of the ongoing construction of flyovers and underpasses under the H-CITI Project around it. Due to the ongoing construction activity, the existing carriageway is being utilised for traffic movement with reduced available road space. In order to ease congestion, improve traffic flow and ensure safer movement for commuters, Hyderabad traffic police has decided to implement the one-way system around KBR Park, said Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar here on Tuesday. Before taking up the arrangement on a regular basis, Hyderabad traffic police conducted two pilot trials to assess the feasibility and operational requirements of the proposed system. Based on the observations and lessons from these trials, necessary modifications have been incorporated and the one-way traffic arrangement is now being implemented from August 18.
