KADAPA: Junior doctors at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (Rims) in Kadapa went on strike on Tuesday demanding immediate payment of pending stipends and resolution of other issues.
Around 300 junior doctors are reportedly participating in the strike, affecting routine medical services at the hospital.
Patients visiting the outpatient department and other departments are facing inconvenience due to the absence of junior doctors.
The junior doctors said they would continue the strike until their pending stipends were paid and their other demands addressed.
Senior doctors said the prolonged absence of junior doctors could put additional pressure on the existing medical staff and affect routine patient care.
