HYDERABAD: The Cabinet, scheduled to meet on August 14, and is expected to decide onexpansion of welfare schemes, a new land pooling policy for mobilising resources for infrastructure and development projects, and the proposed special session of the Legislature.
Official sources said the Cabinet was likely to approve the land pooling policy, which is aimed at replacing the forced land acquisition process with a more participatory model.
On the welfare front, the Cabinet is expected to approve sanctioning pensions for another 2.25 lakh beneficiaries.
The Cabinet is also expected to approve calling for tenders for construction of Indiramma Towers to provide flats for LIG categories in Hyderabad Core Urban Region.
The Cabinet is also expected to take key decisions on launching Musi rejuvenation works and Gandhi Sarovar project works.
