THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Noted nuclear scientist and communist ideologue Dr. M. P. Parameswaran passed away at his residence in Thrissur on Tuesday at the age of 92. Born on January 18, 1935, in Kiralur village, Parameswaran earned his engineering degree from Thiruvananthapuram Engineering College and later obtained his PhD in nuclear engineering from the Moscow Power Institute in Russia. Eventually, Parameswaran left his job to actively participate in people's movements. The Fourth World theory advocated for a model of decentralised democracy and an economic system less driven by consumerism. In 2022, he was among the recipients of the Kerala Sree award from the Kerala government.
