One of our readers alleges that the owner of an Astron filling station and Astron Energy failed to engage meaningfully with him after a workshop attributed the engine damage to contaminated diesel purchased at the service station. Read:Adriaan Louw says the ordeal began after he filled up with diesel at an Astron Energy service station on Fountain Road, Eastleigh, Edenvale, on 1 August 2025. He says he approached both the service station and Astron Energy in an attempt to resolve the matter. However, Astron Energy disputes both the allegation of contaminated fuel and any suggestion that its diesel caused the damage to Louw’s vehicle. Astron also noted that it had received no other substantiated complaints relating to diesel quality at the station at the time.
