Industrialists cautioned that the suspension of cargo movement could paralyse factories, derail production schedules and jeopardise export commitments, ultimately hitting employment and Pakistan's fragile economy.
If factories fail to receive essential inputs, production will stall, while delays in dispatching finished products will worsen financial stress for industries," he remarked.
The SAI chief emphasised that Pakistan's industries, particularly the export sector, were already grappling with multiple challenges.
"A breakdown in logistics impacts the entire supply chain, making it impossible for factories to function normally.
Export orders delayed due to transport shutdowns will not only hurt industries but also damage Pakistan's credibility with international buyers."
