Dombivli hospital assault: Shinde Sena corporator released day after getting bail from HC

Shiv Sena corporator Ramesh Mhatre, arrested last month for allegedly assaulting doctors and staff at a civic hospital in Maharashtra’s Dombivli, was released from jail on Saturday, NDTV reported.
Mhatre, who belongs to the Shiv Sena faction led by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, was released from the Adharwadi jail in Kalyan.
The Bombay High Court on Friday granted bail to Mhatre, but directed him to stay outside Maharashtra till the chargesheet is filed in the case, PTI reported.
Mhatre spent over three weeks in jail in two separate stints.
He was first arrested on July 8, and was granted bail by a sessions court on July 14.
