In a post on X, the Prime Minister said infrastructure has expanded while opportunities in education, healthcare, entrepreneurship and sports have grown significantly in the two Union Territories. Seven years ago, on this day, Articles 370 and 35(A) became history, marking a decisive new chapter in the journey of Jammu and Kashmir as well as Ladakh. Since then, the lives of the people of J&K and Ladakh have witnessed wide-ranging transformation. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also marked the occasion, saying the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35(A) ushered in a new era of peace, progress and equal opportunity for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The Defence Minister said India remains united in its resolve to build a prosperous Jammu and Kashmir, a thriving Ladakh and a Viksit Bharat.
