As of now, 59 people continue to stay in relief camps in the district. According to the district administration, five relief camps were functioning across the district as of 12 noon on Wednesday, accommodating 19 families. Two camps are functioning in Thrissur taluk, housing 14 families and 44 people, with the Government Polytechnic camp at Nedupuzha accounting for the largest number of evacuees. Residents in low-lying areas along the river have been advised to remain vigilant and avoid entering the river or flood-prone areas. Officials said the evacuation was ordered to eliminate the risk to human life while the area is monitored for further ground movement.
