The United Democratic Front (UDF) government has decided to proceed with the Union government’s Prime Ministers’ Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) with the intention of pleasing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Communist Party of India (CPI) State Secretary Binoy Viswam has alleged.
This has also shattered one more argument raised by the UDF government to implement PM SHRI.
“The UDF convener says that PM SHRI is being implemented so that the Central funds are not lost.
Kerala will unitedly resist and defeat the attempt to implement PM SHRI,” he said.
During the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government’s tenure, the CPI was involved in a long tussle with the CPI(M) over PM SHRI.
