Special camps will be held at all fair price shops in the district on August 8 and 9 to facilitate electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) verification for family cardholders yet to complete the process. District Collector S. Kandasamy in a press release said a State-wide drive was conducted at all fair price shops on August 2 using electronic point-of-sale (e-PoS) devices to enable beneficiaries to complete fingerprint or iris-based e-KYC authentication. As part of efforts to achieve 100% e-KYC coverage, the Civil Supplies Department has directed that special camps be organised across the state on August 8 and 9. The District Collector appealed to family cardholders in the district yet to complete fingerprint-based e-KYC verification to complete it at the camps.
