Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi on Friday (August 7) visited Kakkaragol village in Karatagi taluk to console the family members of three persons who lost their lives in the recent landslide at Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district. The Minister handed over documents confirming the release of ₹15 lakh as disaster relief compensation sanctioned by the tahsildar, Shivamogga, under the Disaster Management Fund. Mr. Tangadagi assured the family of all possible assistance for the children’s education. Mr. Tangadagi also promised that steps would be taken through the gram panchayat to provide a house to the bereaved family. The landslide at Indira Nagar in Thirthahalli taluk had claimed the lives of three members of the same family from Kakkaragol village.
