Afridi took to Instagram to highlight the issue of waste in some of Pakistan’s picturesque tourist destinations. He appealed to visitors to enjoy the beauty of the region while ensuring that they leave the area clean. According to the former cricketer, local children approached him with a simple request: a cricket pitch where they could play the sport they loved. He stated that he would try to fulfil the request and arrange for a cricket pitch to be constructed before the country's Independence Day on August 14. “These kids have made the demand that they would like a cricket pitch before Independence Day, so we will also try to get that done for them,” he said.
