Indian court directs siblings, company officials to appear in Oct over complaint linked to Being Human jewellery brandPHOTO: Deccan HeraldBollywood actor Salman Khan and his sister, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, have been summoned by a district court in India's Chandigarh in connection with a complaint related to the Being Human jewellery brand.
According to Gulf News, the court has directed Khan, Agnihotri and officials associated with the company licensed to market Being Human jewellery to appear on October 5.
The dispute dates back to July 2021, when police summoned Khan, Agnihotri and six others—including the chief executive of the Being Human Foundation and officials linked to the jewellery licence—for questioning as part of the investigation.
In response to the allegations at the time, the Being Human Foundation issued a detailed statement denying any involvement in the dispute.
The foundation also clarified that Khan is the owner of the Being Human brand but does not serve as a trustee of the Being Human Foundation.
