The combined effects of Tropical Storm Maymay and the Southwest Monsoon disrupted classes and caused flooding in Metro Manila on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Angat Dam levels improved but are still below normal levels despite persistent rains from Maymay and the monsoon, according to PAGASA Hydrometeorology Division Chief Socrates Paat. “Patuloy yung pag-angat ng elevation ng Angat Dam pero sa nakita natin ay masyadong minimal ang pagdagdag,” Paat said. (The levels of the Angat Dam continue to rise, but from what we see, this is too minimal.) Paat said that Angat was still 23 meters short of its normal levels.
